TLDR Minoxidil and finasteride are the most effective treatments for hair loss.
The systematic review on the management of androgenic alopecia (AGA) evaluates various treatment options, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. The review highlights that minoxidil and finasteride remain the most effective FDA-approved treatments for AGA, with significant hair regrowth observed in numerous studies. Additionally, low-level laser therapy (LLLT) and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) show promise as alternative treatments, though more extensive clinical trials are needed to confirm their efficacy. The review underscores the importance of early intervention and personalized treatment plans to optimize outcomes for patients suffering from AGA.
