The study "Application of hair transplantation combined with platelet-rich plasma injection for the treatment of androgenic alopecia" involved 147 patients with androgenic alopecia, 72 of whom received a combination of hair transplantation and platelet-rich plasma treatment, while the remaining 75 only received hair transplantation. The results showed that the area of hair loss in the group that received the combined treatment was significantly smaller than in the control group. Additionally, the hair pulling test score was significantly lower, and the hair regeneration score was significantly higher in the treatment group. The study concluded that combining hair transplantation with platelet-rich plasma is more effective than hair transplantation alone for treating androgenic alopecia.
