TLDR Thread monofilament and minoxidil together increase hair growth in female androgenetic alopecia.
The study investigated the effectiveness of combining thread monofilament and minoxidil in promoting hair growth in female androgenetic alopecia. The study involved 27-30 female participants who were divided into two groups, one receiving the combination therapy and the other receiving only minoxidil. The results showed that the combination therapy group had a significantly higher increase in hair density and thickness compared to the minoxidil-only group. The study suggests that combining thread monofilament and minoxidil can lead to accelerated hair growth in female androgenetic alopecia. The treatment was generally well-tolerated, but some adverse effects were noted.
