TLDR Both methods improve hair density and thickness; double-spin may be more effective.
The study compared single- versus double-spin prepared platelet-rich plasma injections for treating female pattern hair loss and found both methods to be effective in improving hair density and thickness. The double-spin method resulted in a greater increase in vascular endothelial growth factor levels, which may contribute to improved hair growth. However, there was no significant difference in effectiveness or VEGF concentrations between the two methods in some studies. The study involved 15-40 female participants and suggests that double-spin prepared PRP injections may be a more effective treatment option for female pattern hair loss.
