TLDR Nutrafol® Women's Capsules safely and effectively promote hair growth in women with thinning hair.
This study evaluated the safety and efficacy of Nutrafol® Women's Capsules, a nutraceutical supplement, in promoting hair growth in women with self-perceived thinning hair. Conducted over 6 months, the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involved 40 participants, with 26 receiving the active treatment and 14 receiving a placebo. Results showed a significant increase in the number of terminal and vellus hairs in the treatment group at days 90 and 180 compared to placebo (P < 0.009). Blinded assessments indicated significant improvements in hair growth (P = 0.016) and overall hair quality (P = 0.005). Participants also reported improvements in hair growth, volume, thickness, and growth rate, along with decreased anxiety. No adverse events were reported, suggesting that the supplement safely and effectively promoted hair growth by addressing micro-inflammation, stress, and oxidative damage.
