TLDR The combined therapy significantly increased hair density and was safe for treating hair loss.
This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of combining photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) and pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) for treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 80 participants, with 71 completing the study. The treatment group showed a significant increase in hair density (23.93%) compared to the control group (6.15%), with hair density rising from 114.57/cm² to 139.37/cm² in the treatment group. Both investigator and independent expert assessments confirmed the treatment's effectiveness, and participants reported higher subjective satisfaction. The combination therapy was well-tolerated with no significant adverse reactions, suggesting it is a safe and effective treatment for AGA.
