A Study of Combination Unilateral Subcutaneous Botulinum Toxin A Treatment for Androgenetic Alopecia

A 35-year-old male used oral finasteride and topical minoxidil, later transitioning to oral minoxidil, to stop hair loss and improve hair density. He plans a future hair transplant and experienced temporary libido changes but no permanent side effects.

The user experienced improved hair density using dutasteride and oral minoxidil compared to finasteride and minoxidil, with no significant side effects. The user took 2.5 mg of minoxidil and 0.5 mg of dutasteride daily.

The user experienced worsening hair density despite using finasteride, minoxidil, dutasteride, and RU58841, with some temporary improvement after stopping RU58841. Currently, they are on 2.5mg dutasteride daily and topical minoxidil, but continue to struggle with hair density issues.

Oral dutasteride and topical Minoxidil are used to treat hair loss, with the goal of suppressing DHT and improving hair density. The effectiveness depends on genetics and the duration of baldness, and lifelong treatment may be necessary to maintain results.

The user experienced chronic telogen effluvium and mild male pattern baldness, treated with finasteride, oral minoxidil, and later switched to dutasteride, which stopped excessive hair shedding. Other treatments like low-level laser therapy, hair loss shampoos (except ketoconazole), and supplements were ineffective.
