TLDR Combining growth factors with minoxidil improves hair growth more than minoxidil alone.
A clinical trial involving male patients with androgenetic alopecia found that combining autologous concentrated growth factors (ACGF) with topical minoxidil (MXD) was more effective in promoting hair growth than using MXD alone. The combination therapy resulted in improvements in hair density, growth ratio, and T/V ratio compared to the MXD-only group. The study suggests that ACGF may enhance the therapeutic effect of MXD for the treatment of male AGA.
