TLDR PRP shows promise for hair loss treatment, but needs standardized preparation and composition.
This document is a systematic review of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) preparation and composition for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. The review found that there is a lack of standardization in PRP preparation and composition, making it difficult to compare studies and determine efficacy for particular treatment applications. The authors suggest that future studies should focus on standardizing PRP preparation protocols and composition reporting to improve the efficacy of PRP treatment for hair loss. PRP is a promising treatment option for androgenetic alopecia, but more research is needed to determine the optimal preparation and composition of PRP for this indication.
