TLDR Microneedles could be a better and easier way to regrow hair.
Microneedles are a promising method for treating alopecia by enhancing drug delivery through the skin, offering advantages over traditional treatments like minoxidil and finasteride. They improve drug delivery efficiency and patient compliance by puncturing the stratum corneum. Various designs, such as solid, coated, hollow, dissolvable, and hydrogel-forming microneedles, have been developed to optimize drug release. Clinical trials have shown positive results, suggesting that microneedles could be a more effective and patient-friendly option for promoting hair regrowth and treating hair-related diseases.
