TLDR Mesotherapy might help with hair loss but more research is needed.
The systematic review analyzed 336 studies on the use of mesotherapy, a minimally invasive procedure, for treating pattern hair loss (PHL). After the selection process, 12 studies were included, involving 253 males and 274 females. The studies consisted of 6 randomized control trials, 2 nonrandomized controlled trials, and 3 observational studies. The results showed that mesotherapy had a positive effect on PHL in all studies to some extent, with no significant side effects reported. However, the authors concluded that the sample size was not large enough and there were insufficient studies comparing mesotherapy to other treatments. Therefore, more research is needed to provide stronger evidence of mesotherapy's effectiveness in treating PHL.
