TLDR Extracellular vesicles may effectively treat hair loss with minimal side effects.
The study by Dr. Gordon H Sasaki evaluated the safety and efficacy of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in treating male and female pattern hair loss in 31 patients (22 females, 9 males) over 6 months. Results showed significant hair growth in 12 out of 22 female patients and 8 out of 9 male patients, with no significant adverse reactions reported. The study suggests that EVs could be a promising treatment for hair loss, particularly in patients with early-stage alopecia and previous positive responses to other treatments. However, larger-scale studies are needed to confirm these findings.
