    Exosome-based therapy shows promise as a regenerative treatment for non-scarring alopecias, such as androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata, by modulating the hair follicle microenvironment and promoting hair regeneration through mechanisms like Wnt/β-catenin signaling and angiogenesis. Preclinical studies and early clinical trials indicate improvements in hair density and thickness with good safety profiles. Exosomes provide a cell-free, potentially standardizable alternative to platelet-rich plasma and cellular therapies. However, challenges in standardizing isolation methods, dosing, delivery techniques, and reducing production costs remain. Further high-quality trials are needed for clinical application.
