TLDR The plant extract helped increase hair growth in men without severe side effects.
This pilot randomized controlled trial evaluated the efficacy of an exosome-containing plant extract formulation (ECPE) for treating male alopecia in 20 participants. The study found that the ECPE group experienced a significant increase in hair growth compared to the placebo group, with a large effect size and no severe adverse effects, although mild scalp irritation was noted in two participants. Participants in the ECPE group also reported higher self-perceived satisfaction. The study suggests that ECPE is a promising treatment for male alopecia, but further research with larger sample sizes and longer follow-up periods is needed to confirm these findings and assess long-term efficacy and safety.
