TLDR Exosome treatment safely increases hair density in male patients with androgenetic alopecia.
This prospective study investigated the effectiveness of foreskin-derived mesenchymal stromal cells exosome injections in treating androgenetic alopecia in 30 male patients aged 22-65. The exosomes, characterized by nanoparticle tracking analysis, showed a peak distribution of 139.7 ± 2.3 nm in diameter. Results indicated a statistically significant increase in hair density at the 4th and 12th weeks post-treatment (p < 0.05). Patient satisfaction also significantly improved by the 12th week (p < 0.05). Importantly, no side effects or complications were reported, suggesting that this exosome treatment is both effective and safe for increasing hair density in patients with androgenetic alopecia.
