TLDR Exosome treatment safely increases hair density in male patients with androgenetic alopecia.
This prospective study evaluated the effectiveness of exosome treatment derived from foreskin mesenchymal stromal cells in 30 male patients with androgenetic alopecia. Results showed a significant increase in hair density from 149.7 ± 13.7 hairs/cm² pre-treatment to 157 ± 18.3 hairs/cm² at 12 weeks post-treatment (p = 0.002). Patient satisfaction was high, with reports of decreased hair loss and new hair growth. No side effects or withdrawals were observed. The study suggests exosome therapy as a promising and safe option for improving hair density in androgenetic alopecia, though larger studies with control groups are needed to confirm these findings and evaluate the effects of repeated treatments.
