TLDR Surface-modified nanostructured lipid carriers can improve hair growth treatments.
This review highlights the potential of surface-modified nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) in enhancing hair regeneration. By applying polymers, incorporating targeting molecules, and modifying surface charge, these techniques improve the stability, compatibility, and precise delivery of NLCs to hair follicles. The review emphasizes how these modifications can increase the bioavailability of hair growth-promoting agents like minoxidil and finasteride, and discusses their interactions with hair follicles, suggesting promising applications for treating hair loss. The findings provide valuable insights for future research on hair growth.
