The systematic review evaluated 15 studies with 653 participants on the efficacy of stem cell-based therapies for androgenetic alopecia (AGA). The studies, conducted between 2015 and 2021, used stem cells from sources like adipose tissue, hair follicles, and bone marrow. Results showed promise in increasing hair density without major side effects, with significant improvements reported in several studies. However, the review highlighted the need for larger, more controlled trials to validate these findings and establish standardized protocols.
