TLDR Balding men seen as older, less attractive, and less confident.
This study looked at the perception of men with androgenetic alopecia by women and nonbalding men in Korea. Results showed that balding men were perceived as being older and less attractive, while a perception that they are less confident, duller, and less potent was reported by less than half of respondents. Women answered more frequently than nonbalding men that men with AGA appear less attractive. Additionally, balding men had a significantly more frequent perception of being less confident than did nonbalding men. Overall, it appears that androgenetic alopecia has a negative influence on social interactions for those subject to it.
