This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the efficacy and safety of activated platelet-rich plasma (A-PRP) for treating alopecia, analyzing 29 articles with a total of 864 patients. The findings indicate that A-PRP is significantly effective in improving hair density, promoting hair regrowth, and reducing hair loss, with notable improvements in hair density and counts after therapy. The study highlights A-PRP as a promising and safe treatment option for alopecia, although two studies did not report significant results. This research is the first comprehensive review of A-PRP's potential as an alopecia treatment.
