TLDR Coffea arabica shows promise for skin care due to its beneficial compounds.
Coffea arabica is highlighted as a promising ingredient in dermato-cosmetic applications due to its rich bioactive compounds, including caffeine, chlorogenic acids, and flavonoids, which offer significant antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. These compounds contribute to skin health by promoting elasticity, reducing cellulite, and protecting against UV damage. Additionally, Coffea arabica shows potential in promoting hair growth and reducing hair loss, particularly in conditions like androgenetic alopecia. The review emphasizes the need for further research to validate these benefits through clinical trials and optimize formulation strategies for enhanced delivery and stability in cosmetic products.
