    GlossaryNanofibers

extremely fine fibers measured in nanometers

Nanofibers are extremely fine fibers with diameters typically measured in nanometers (one nanometer is one-billionth of a meter). Due to their high surface area-to-volume ratio and unique physical properties, they are used in various applications, including medical treatments for hair loss (such as in hair-thickening products), filtration systems, and tissue engineering.
