TLDR Hair RiseTM microemulsion effectively promotes hair growth and treats hair loss better than standard treatments.
The study explores the effectiveness of Hair RiseTM microemulsion, a novel herbal formulation, in treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) and stimulating hair growth. Composed of bioactive extracts from rice bran, shallot bulb, licorice root, and corn kernels, the microemulsion significantly enhanced the proliferation of human hair follicle dermal papilla cells and upregulated key hair growth signaling pathways, outperforming standard treatments like minoxidil. It also exhibited strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, reducing factors that contribute to follicular damage in AGA. Additionally, Hair RiseTM inhibited 5α-reductase, an enzyme involved in androgen metabolism, suggesting its potential as a natural, plant-based alternative to synthetic AGA treatments.
