TLDR Limelight (CB-EVs) safely promotes hair growth.
The study investigates the efficacy of Limelight (CB-EVs), an umbilical cord blood-derived exosome product, for promoting hair growth ex vivo. The research found that concentrations below 5 U/ml of Limelight (CB-EVs) were non-toxic in vitro. In hair follicle cultures, concentrations of 0.1, 0.01, and 0.001 U/ml significantly promoted hair elongation and maintained hair bulb diameter. Additionally, the product reduced the transition from the anagen to the catagen phase of the hair growth cycle and increased the expression of Laminin V and Collagen XVII. These findings suggest that Limelight (CB-EVs) is a safe and effective method for stimulating hair growth ex vivo.
