TLDR New treatments for common hair loss are needed.
Recent studies on androgenetic alopecia (AGA) have explored innovative treatments, including human stem cells and cell-free fat extract, which show potential in restoring hair loss. A review highlighted the pharmacological benefits of caffeine in managing AGA. A 3-month prospective, randomized study involving an oral supplement with amino acids, iron, selenium, and marine hydrolyzed collagen demonstrated efficacy and tolerability in subjects with AGA, female androgenetic alopecia (FAGA), or telogen effluvium, suggesting promising new treatment avenues.
