TLDR Oral sturgeon oil promotes hair growth and improves gut health.
The study investigated the effects of solubilized sturgeon oil (SSO) on hair growth and gut microbiota in C57BL/6 mice. Oral administration of SSO significantly increased hair growth, follicle number, and diameter, and upregulated hair growth markers like β-catenin and ERK-1. SSO also altered gut microbiota composition, correlating with hair growth metrics. The findings suggest that SSO promotes hair growth by influencing growth factors and modulating the gut microbiome, indicating its potential as a natural therapeutic strategy for hair loss prevention and treatment.
