TLDR CRABP1 boosts hair cell growth in Hu sheep by affecting key genes.
The study concludes that CRABP1 enhances the proliferation of dermal papilla cells (DPCs) in Hu sheep through the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, which is crucial for hair follicle development. Overexpression of CRABP1 increased mRNA levels of proliferation markers and cell activity, while CRABP1 knockdown decreased these markers and cell proliferation. CRABP1 was found to regulate the nuclear translocation of β-catenin, suggesting its significant role in promoting DPC proliferation and hair growth by interacting with this pathway. These findings provide insights into molecular mechanisms that could improve wool production in Hu sheep.

The user tried Minoxidil, PRP, Hair Carboxytherapy, and topical Dutasteride with limited success and is now on oral Dutasteride. They are experiencing some hair loss reduction but no significant density improvement, leading to feelings of depression.
