TLDR Men with hair loss have higher BMI, waist size, blood pressure, and are linked to smoking and inactivity.
A study from three years ago found that men with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) have higher BMI, waist circumference, and blood pressure compared to men without AGA. Smoking and physical inactivity are also associated with AGA. Lifestyle modifications, such as smoking cessation and increased physical activity, may help prevent or delay the onset of AGA. However, further research is needed to confirm the relationship between AGA and cardiovascular risk factors.
