TLDR Young adults with hair loss face higher risk of stiff arteries.
Young adults with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) have an increased risk of arterial stiffness, which is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. The study included 166 participants and used the cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) to measure arterial stiffness. The researchers suggest that androgenetic alopecia may be an early indicator of cardiovascular risk.
