TLDR Anthropometric measurements like weight and BMI may help identify alopecia risk groups.
The study reviews 33 literary sources from 2013-2023 to explore the relationship between alopecia and anthropometric indicators like weight, BMI, and waist circumference. It finds that alopecia shows significant sexual dimorphism in these indicators, suggesting that anthropometric measurements could help identify risk groups for the disease. The study highlights the need for further research, particularly among the Ukrainian population, to predict alopecia risk and progression. Future clinical studies are planned in the Podillia region of Ukraine to refine these findings.
