TLDR More exercise might link to hair loss, but other factors also matter.
A survey-based study of 1,182 individuals found that those with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) exercised more than the normal population, particularly in low-intensity exercise. The study suggests that exercise may be associated with AGA, but further research is needed to confirm the pathophysiology. The study hypothesized that oxidative stress generated during exercise may play a role in the occurrence of AGA. However, the study concludes that AGA is influenced by numerous genetic and environmental factors, and oxidative stress cannot be the only explanation.
