TLDR PRP-Exo is more effective than minoxidil for hair growth.
The study investigated the effectiveness of minoxidil versus platelet-rich plasma exosome (PRP-Exo) in treating androgenetic alopecia using 14 BALB/c mice. The mice were divided into two groups, with one group receiving 5% minoxidil and the other PRP-Exo injections. Results indicated that PRP-Exo significantly increased hair follicle density and improved the anagen: telogen ratio compared to minoxidil. The study concluded that PRP-Exo is more effective than minoxidil in promoting hair growth in this model.
