    GlossarySperm Quality

measure of sperm's ability to fertilize an egg

Sperm quality, also known as semen quality or sperm health, refers to the measure of the ability of sperm to accomplish fertilization. It encompasses several parameters, including sperm count (the number of sperm present in a given volume of semen), motility (the ability of sperm to move efficiently), morphology (the shape and structure of sperm), and vitality (the percentage of live sperm in a sample). These factors are critical for male fertility and are often assessed during fertility evaluations.
