TLDR Babies were mostly born healthy from fathers who took finasteride, but some pregnancies ended early; more research is needed.
In a 2015 case series study from the Korean Motherisk Program involving 19 pregnant women whose partners were exposed to finasteride, a drug for male pattern baldness and benign prostatic hyperplasia, 68.4% (13 cases) resulted in normal full-term births, while 31.6% (6 cases) ended in spontaneous or artificial abortions. The study suggested a potential link between paternal finasteride exposure and adverse pregnancy outcomes, consistent with prior animal studies, but noted the need for further research due to limitations such as the lack of paternal sperm quality data and the small sample size. The authors recommended that men considering fatherhood should be cautious about using finasteride until more conclusive safety data is available.

Treatments for hair loss, including finasteride, dutasteride, minoxidil, ketoconazole, microneedling, and low level laser light therapy, which aim to reduce DHT production, increase cell absorption and blood flow, and stimulate epidermal stem cells. The user started using trenbolone and minoxidil simultaneously and experienced increased hair shedding, unsure which is causing it. Replies suggest both drugs could cause hair loss, with one advising to stop trenbolone to protect hair and another indicating minoxidil is unlikely the cause due to the timing.

The impact of creatine on DHT levels, and whether it could cause accelerated male pattern baldness (MPB). The user taking a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor found that their DHT levels actually reduced despite taking creatine for nine weeks. Replies suggested looking into testosterone levels as well and debating the safety of creatine use in relation to MPB.
