TLDR Men with severe hair loss may have poorer sperm quality.
This study investigated the relationship between androgenetic alopecia (AGA) and semen quality in 203 young adult men. The participants were classified into two groups based on the severity of their AGA. The study found that men with moderate to severe AGA had significantly lower sperm volume, density, motility, and morphology compared to those with normal to mild AGA. The study suggests that premature AGA may be associated with poor semen quality and could be considered equivalent to polycystic ovary syndrome in women.
