Thirty male Wistar albino rats were treated with different concentrations of ozonated olive oil and compared to terbinafine. Results showed that ozonated olive oil had a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 2.5 μg/mL, demonstrating significant antifungal effects by reducing inflammation and promoting hair growth, similar to the effects of terbinafine. The study concludes that ozonated olive oil may be a viable alternative treatment for Trichophyton infections.
