TLDR Ficus racemosa leaf extracts help heal diabetic wounds and lower blood sugar.
The study evaluated the wound-healing properties of Ficus racemosa leaf extracts in diabetic conditions using two models. The flavonoid and tannin fractions of the extract significantly improved wound healing, with excision wounds closing in 16-17 days and increased breaking strength in incision wounds. The extracts also demonstrated hypoglycemic activity, suggesting a beneficial effect on blood glucose levels. The findings indicate that Ficus racemosa leaf extracts are effective in treating diabetic wounds.
