TLDR An old recipe called "Champigny Saumure" might help treat a rare scalp condition.
Erosive pustular dermatosis of the scalp (EPDS) is a rare chronic inflammatory disorder that typically affects elderly individuals, characterized by pustular lesions, erosions, and crusts on the scalp, leading to scarring alopecia. The pathogenesis of EPDS is not fully understood, but skin trauma is a known predisposing factor. A 69-year-old woman with a severe case of EPDS, who had previously tried various treatments with no satisfactory results, used a topical application of an ancestral recipe of "Champigny Saumure". This recipe includes anti-inflammatory herbs and spices such as turmeric, cardamom, cinnamon, rosemary, and ginger, soaked in Moselle rosé wine. After applying the mixture to her scalp for ten nights, the woman experienced significant improvement, with no more visible lesions, areas of alopecia, or pustular erosions. Despite temporary scalp burning after each application, the treatment was deemed successful. The ingredients for this treatment are easily obtainable worldwide.
