TLDR Minoxidil with tretinoin boosts hair growth most effectively, followed by minoxidil alone, and then ketoconazole.
The study compared the effects of topical ketoconazole, minoxidil, and minoxidil with tretinoin on hair growth in male mice. All three treatments had a significant stimulatory effect on hair growth compared to the control group, with minoxidil being the most effective. The combination of minoxidil and tretinoin had the most significant effect on hair growth, followed by minoxidil alone, and then ketoconazole. The study suggests that the combination of minoxidil and tretinoin may be a promising treatment for hair loss in humans, but further studies are needed to confirm these findings.
