TLDR ALRV5XR is the most effective hair regrowth treatment at 24 weeks.
This systematic review and Bayesian network meta-analysis evaluated the efficacy and resistance of various hair regrowth treatments for androgenetic alopecia in men and women over 12 and 24 weeks, using data from 17 studies involving 3,056 subjects. Treatments like Finasteride, Minoxidil, and ALRV5XR were compared, with ALRV5XR showing the highest efficacy in both sexes at 24 weeks and potential for reversing miniaturized hairs. Traditional treatments were effective but exhibited resistance effects after 12 weeks. The study highlights the need for personalized treatment plans and more robust evidence for innovative treatments targeting hair follicle regeneration.
