TLDR FGF10 and non-coding RNAs are important for cashmere goat hair follicle development.
The study used whole-transcriptome sequencing to analyze the role of Fibroblast Growth Factor 10 (FGF10) and a non-coding RNA, miR-184, in the development of secondary hair follicles in cashmere goats. The researchers identified 6468 differentially expressed mRNAs, 394 circRNAs, and 239 miRNAs, which were used to construct a regulatory network for hair follicle development. They found that miR-184 promotes cell proliferation, inhibits apoptosis, and alters the cell cycle by competitively releasing FGF10. The study also revealed that overexpression of miR-184 reduced FGF10 expression, leading to inhibited cell proliferation and increased apoptosis. These findings provide a reference for future studies on hair follicle biology in cashmere goats and other mammals.

Microneedling for hair restoration involves daily use of a 0.3 mm device and weekly use of a 0.5 mm device. Combining microneedling with Minoxidil can enhance hair growth.

      community Verteporfin and Microneedling

      in Treatments 5 months ago
Clinical studies by Dr. Barghouthi and Dr. Bloxham indicate that Verteporfin, when used with FUE and FUT hair transplantation methods, shows promise in hair follicle regeneration and minimal scarring due to its ability to inhibit Yes-associated protein (YAP). Microneedling at depths of 3-3.5mm, combined with Verteporfin, could potentially reactivate dormant follicles, although the optimal dosage and application method are still under investigation. Concerns remain about the DHT sensitivity of regenerated follicles, highlighting the need for further research to optimize trauma levels and Verteporfin concentrations to achieve effective and scar-free hair regeneration.
