TLDR Low-frequency electromagnetic fields may help hair growth by affecting certain growth-related molecules.
The study concluded that extremely low-frequency electromagnetic fields (ELF-EMF) at an intensity of 10 G for 60 minutes significantly enhance hair growth by increasing the expression of anagen-related markers and cytokines through the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. This was demonstrated in human hair follicles (HFs) and hair bulb spheroids (HBSs) without inducing cytotoxicity or apoptosis. The findings suggest that ELF-EMF treatment could be a promising therapeutic approach for hair loss.
