TLDR The combination of oral minoxidil, oral dutasteride, and mesotherapy is the most effective and safe for hair growth in AGA.
The study involving 280 patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) assessed the effectiveness and safety of four treatment regimens: oral minoxidil alone, oral minoxidil with oral dutasteride, oral minoxidil with mesotherapy, and a combination of all three. After 12 months, the combination therapy showed the most significant improvement in hair growth, particularly in the frontal and vertex areas, with 66.3% of patients experiencing excellent improvement. Side effects were generally mild, with hypertrichosis being the most common. The study concludes that the combination of oral minoxidil, oral dutasteride, and mesotherapy with dutasteride is the most effective and has a favorable safety profile for treating AGA.
