TLDR Stellera chamaejasme L. extract promotes hair growth by activating hair growth genes.
The study on C57BL/6 mice demonstrated that Stellera chamaejasme L. extract (SE) promotes hair growth by inducing the anagen phase, with the 3% SE group showing the most significant effects. SE treatment increased hair follicle number and diameter, thickened dermal layers, and upregulated genes like WNT10A, NOG, EGF, and FGF10, which are linked to the Wnt signaling pathway. These results suggest SE as a promising natural alternative for hair growth, though further research is needed to pinpoint the specific bioactive compounds involved.
