The study evaluated the effects of Natural Plant Extracts (NPE) on hair loss prevention and hair growth promotion in 30 male C57BL/6 mice, divided into three groups: control (saline), NPE, and minoxidil 5%. The NPE group showed significant improvements in hair density, length, and thickness, with the first hair growth observed on day 9. NPE significantly stimulated anagen hair growth and up-regulated VEGF and KGF mRNA expression while down-regulating TGF-β1 mRNA expression, suggesting that NPE promotes hair growth and prevents hair loss through genetic regulation.
