This study investigated the effectiveness of combining platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet gel in treating resistant androgenic alopecia in 8 patients. The treatment involved injecting a total of 10 cc of the PRP and platelet gel mixture into the scalp at androgen-related areas over three sessions. Results showed a significant reduction in hair loss and an increase in hair density from an average of 72 hair/cm² to 210 hair/cm², as well as an increase in hair diameter. The hair pull test results also improved significantly. The study concludes that this combination therapy is a simple, feasible, and cost-effective treatment option for resistant androgenic alopecia, with high patient satisfaction.
