TLDR Injections improve hair growth, density, and thickness in women safely.
A study of 30 female participants found that lyophilized growth factor intralesional injection was an effective treatment for female pattern hair loss, improving hair density and thickness, decreasing hair shedding, and increasing the number of hair follicles. The treatment was found to be safe and effective, with no significant adverse effects observed. Trichoscopic images showed significant improvements in all hair parameters, particularly in patients with Ludwig's grade II. The study recommends using dermoscopy and TrichoScan for objective evaluation of therapeutic trials in FPHL.
