TLDR Both treatments improved hair loss, but 15% Minoxidil caused more side effects than Low Level Laser Therapy.
This study compared the efficacy of 15% Minoxidil and Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) in treating Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) in 40 patients over 24 weeks. Both treatments led to decreased frequency of severe alopecia and increased patient satisfaction, but the differences were not statistically significant between the two groups. However, patients using 15% Minoxidil experienced significantly more side effects than those using LLLT. Physician satisfaction increased in both groups, with a 15% higher increase in the Minoxidil group.
