TLDR Helmet-like device safely increases hair density for people with hair loss.
A study conducted two years ago evaluated the safety and efficacy of low-level light therapy (LLLT) using a helmet-type device for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. The randomized, double-blind clinical trial involved 60 participants diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia aged from 19 to 65 years. LLLT showed a significant effect on increasing hair density in patients with androgenetic alopecia, with no adverse events or side effects occurring. The study suggests that LLLT could be a safe and effective treatment for androgenetic alopecia in both sexes.
