TLDR The combination of minoxidil and finasteride is more effective for hair growth than minoxidil alone.
The study compared the efficacy of 5% topical minoxidil alone versus a combination of 5% topical minoxidil and 0.1% topical finasteride in treating androgenetic alopecia in 30 male subjects aged 18-45 years. Results indicated that the combination treatment (Group A) showed better outcomes in terms of reduced bald area, increased hair count, and higher number of terminal hairs compared to the minoxidil-only treatment (Group B). The conclusion was that the combination of topical minoxidil with finasteride was more effective than using topical minoxidil alone.
