TLDR Minoxidil with PRP is the best treatment for hair loss.
This study compared the efficacy of three treatments for androgenetic alopecia (AGA): minoxidil alone, minoxidil with dermaroller, and minoxidil with platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Ninety subjects were divided into three groups, each receiving one of the treatments. After 5 months, the group treated with minoxidil and PRP showed the most significant improvement, with 50% of patients experiencing moderate improvement. Dermoscopic analysis confirmed that this group had the maximum improvement. Pain was the most common side effect in the PRP group, while pruritus and seborrheic dermatitis were more common in the minoxidil-only group. The study concluded that minoxidil with PRP is a superior treatment for AGA, offering good safety and patient satisfaction.
